Wage and Training Subsidies Available to EFC Members: EHRC’s Discovering Potential
Electricity Human Resources Canada’s (EHRC’s) Discovering Potential program provides companies with financial support for work placements and training opportunities to help build youth potential and to allow youth to overcome employment barriers in the electrical and electricity sectors. This program can subsidize 50% of a wage or 100% of training costs, or a mix of both, for up to a maximum of $16,500 per participant. As a partner in the electrical and electricity channel, EFC member companies are eligible for this subsidy, but must meet certain criteria, including:
Placements and training opportunities must be completed by March 31, 2021
Participants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at of the start of their placement or training
They must be currently un- or under-employed at the start of placement
