The 19th Annual EFC Federation Cup was a Sold-Out Success!

On August 21, 2019, close to 290 golfers participated in the 19th Annual EFC Federation Cup Golf Tournament at Clublink’s Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton, Ontario. In all of EFC history, this year’s event boasted record-breaking attendance, along with $17,000 raised in the silent auction benefiting the EFC Scholarship Program. We thank our Golf Committee, sponsors and EFC staff for their dedicated efforts in bringing this event together while exceeding expectations.

Much to everyone’s surprise, the day was filled with beautiful weather. Members enjoyed a great round of golf and valuable industry networking. A reception followed, including the 19th hole, YPN Oyster Bar, Wellness Station and Silent Auction.

Chris Scott, EFC’s Golf Chair and co-master of ceremonies for the dinner welcomed members and shared the committee’s recent successes. Carol McGlogan, President of EFC & CEO, was also on hand to thank the EFC Scholarship sponsors which raised over $150,000 towards 61 scholarships to deserving students.

Carol also shared a few facts pertaining to the electrical industry – including the fact that 10,000 industry professionals are currently over the age of 55 and will likely leave the industry in the next ten years. Stay tuned for upcoming EFC initiatives to help prepare for the inevitable.
