Quebec Region President’s Gala Breaks Attendance Record

On April 5, EFC’s Quebec Region hosted its bi-annual President’s Gala at the iconic Ritz-Carlton Montreal. The gala honoured Martin Piette, IPEX, and his two-and-a-half-year term as Chair of the Quebec Region, and welcomed incoming Chair, Ivan Roy, Nedco, who will lead the Quebec Region Executive Committee from 2025 to 2027.

More than 175 industry leaders and guests enjoyed an unforgettable gala experience, featuring a champagne wall, photo booth, an array of gourmet appetizers, and a lavish three-course dinner.

A jazz duo performed during the reception, and a live band Elixir, led by Yves Martin, Lumen, performed several dance tunes throughout the decades.  Yves was also the evening’s emcee.

Piette was pleased with the evening, noting it brought together members from across the industry.

“It was such a pleasure to see so many regional members and guests enjoy themselves, including (having) valuable industry networking,” he said.

Piette’s charity of choice for his Chair’s gift was the MS Society of Canada/Société de la SP, as he is proud to support a close friend in the industry dealing with the impact. Piette said he was touched by the generosity of members to follow his lead and donate to the cause, raising more than $2,000 for the charity. The donation will help with advanced research and additional support in the community with people living with multiple sclerosis in Canada.
