Q3 2019 Business Confidence Survey & Opinion Poll – Results are in
EFC conducts a Quarterly Business Confidence Survey & Opinion Poll, inviting key association contacts to participate. Respondents are asked to compare their current quarter and next quarter sales, against the same periods last year. This quarter, 87 key member contacts provided their feedback.
Business Confidence Results:
- 57% of respondents felt their Q3 2019 business was better/much better compared to Q3 2018, however, 23% recorded worse sales, and 20% reporting no change
- Looking ahead, 43% of respondents expect Q4 2019 sales to be better/much better compared to Q3 2019
- Expectations out one year remain positive, with 61% expecting sales to be better/much better
Additional comments received:
The markets appear to be slowing; We see increasing headwinds, and a slowing global economy; Clearly, there are far more downside risks today; The momentum seems to be slowing and confidence in next year ebbing as the year comes to a close; All predictions are for a soft 2 years coming. Less than 2 % growth.
Opinion Poll Results:
For this quarter, participants were asked what data warehousing tools they use. While most are using IDEA Connector, 61% of respondents indicated “none at this time.”
