EFC’s Charity of Choice, Habitat for Humanity Canada Updates

In case you missed it, on October 7th, Julia Deans, Habitat for Humanity Canada, CEO, moderated a discussion about Canada’s housing affordability crisis between The Hon. Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and MP York South—Weston and Mr. Evan Siddall, President and CEO, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. This year has been quite different. With a very limited ability to host build days this year, Habitat for Humanity Canada introduced the every one build, as a way for EFC members to engage teams virtually and fundraise to help the organization continue building affordable homes.

There are a number of ways to get involved:

  1. Make a team on the Habitat for Humanity Canada’s fundraising page, and have your employees sign up as participants.
  2. Participants can fundraise by sharing their pages with friends and family.
  3. Encourage your team to do our DIY challenges to really #buildfromhome
  4. Donate!

You can also make it a friendly competition by seeing who can raise the most or have a decorating contest with our DIY Challenges.

Everyone who fundraises $100 will be entered into a draw for a $125 Home Depot gift card!
