CIGRE Canada Award for Energy Excellence

CIGRE is a collaborative global community committed to the world’s leading knowledge development programme for the creation and sharing of power system expertise. CIGRE Canada is a national committee with members from coast to coast to coast including sixteen Study Committees, the Women in Energy group and the Next Generation Network.

CIGRE Canada is pleased to offer three scholarships to applicants pursuing a post-secondary degree studying or researching in a field related to the energy sector. Preference will be given to those applicants targeting a career in the energy sector. Prospective applicants must be able and willing to attend the 2024 CIGRE Canada Conference & Exhibition at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 29, 2024 to accept the award. Complimentary conference registration and one-night hotel stay will be provided by CIGRE Canada.

To apply, please submit a copy of your academic transcript, your CV, and a one-page letter outlining your past experience and future ambitions in the power sector. Please confirm within your application whether you are able to attend the CIGRE Canada conference in Manitoba to accept the award.
