EFC Federation Cup Exchanges Leadership for 2025

EFC would like to thank Paul Morrow, Southwire Canada, for a successful year concluding as Chair of the EFC Federation Cup Annual Golf Tournament. Paul is not only an avid golfer, but kept the committee strategically aligned in order to attain success.

This year’s Federation Cup Tournament was the third largest in EFC history, with close to 300 golfers. Our committee has put forth a great effort in recruiting sponsorships and silent auction items.

The silent auction donations from members, were greatly appreciated and the tournament raised a total of $9,140 in support of EFC’s Scholarship Program. This donation will allow EFC to award nine $1,000 scholarships to deserving post secondary students to continue their academic studies.

The event survey conducted after the golf tournament, gave the event an overall rating of 4.7/5 and a Net Promoter Score of 72, both of which are quite high. This year’s tournament included several food and beverage stations along with YPN Putting Content, golf swag, Performance Academy and valuable industry networking, made this year’s tournament one not to miss.

“It was an honour and a privilege to serve as the Chair of the 2024 EFC Fed Cup Event,” Morrow said. “The committee members did an outstanding job, and without their efforts, this success would not have been possible,” he said.

“I want to extend my gratitude to the EFC staff, who meticulously manage every detail and truly form the backbone of this event. As I step into my role as Past Chair, I look forward to collaborating with Danny Buchanan in any way he requires. Together with our committee members, I am confident that the 2025 event will also be a tremendous success as we continue to support all EFC partners and members.”

We are excited to Congratulate Danny Buchanan, Rexel, in accepting his 2nd term as EFC Federation Cup Golf Chair for 2025.  Danny brings more than 20 years experience on the golf committee, as well as being one of the lead recruiters for golf sponsorships and auction items. Danny is a true asset to the National Golf Committee, and we welcome him back for his second round as Chair. Other members who have had two separate terms in the past include: Chris Scott, Northern Cables, and Bruce MacGowan, Westlake Pipe & Fittings.

EFC would also like to welcome Jason Denstedt, Leviton, as Vice Chair.  Jason is fairly new to the committee, however, is looking forward to putting his efforts forward over the next few years, while partnering with Danny, to host our 2025 EFC Federation Cup Golf Tournament on August 20th at Deer Creek Golf Club. Jason will advance to Chair, after the August 2025 tournament.

EFC Fed Cup Team Lead, Nathalie Lajoie, is pleased with the overall success of the industry tournament, and the attendance from our members. The generous support from our members has been instrumental in the success of the EFC Fed Cup Tournament. “We look forward to working with the committee, to continuously improve and enhance this premier annual event,” Lajoie said.

We’d like to thank all three of these golf executives for their continued support and dedication to this premier national event.
