On November 26, the Quebec region’s holiday reception took place in Wendake. Nearly 50 members registered for this event.

The reception took place at the First Nation Hotel Museum in Wendake. The cultural aspect of the location was educative and meaningful. Drinks, small bites and indigenous background music were present to make this Networking event a great holiday and end-of-year evening in the company of our industry peers.

In addition, a special activity was organized by the Quebec YPN committee. Our members had the opportunity to try some original specialized alcohol coffee. They had the option to be coached to make it themselves or to enjoy watching the bartenders make their magic.

A Festive Gathering of Over 300 Industry Colleagues to Kick Off the Holidays

What an incredible way to kick off the holiday season! On November 28th, we gathered once again at Paramount EventSpace in Vaughan for the Ontario Region Holiday Reception, bringing together over 300 industry colleagues and friends from across Canada. With members from coast-to-coast, including Vancouver, BC to St. John’s, NL, it was a truly special evening, filled with meaningful conversations, festive cheer, and valuable networking opportunities.

The event featured a popular oyster bar, along with festive beverages and delicious food stations that kept everyone satisfied throughout the evening. These culinary highlights, paired with specialty lighting and music, created the perfect atmosphere for connection and celebration.

A big thank you to all who attended, contributing to the success of this annual tradition. Your presence made the event memorable, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our manufacturers, distributors, reps, and EFC staff members. This reception is always a reminder of the strong community we’ve built together, and it’s a joy to celebrate the season with such wonderful individuals.

We are especially thankful to those who participated in the Holiday Clothing Drive, give-back initiative, helping to make a difference to those in need during this season of giving.

As we reflect on the year gone by, we are filled with gratitude for all the connections made and the milestones achieved. The holidays are a time to come together, celebrate, and express our appreciation for everyone who has been a part of our journey.

We look forward to another year of growth, collaboration, and community. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous New Year ahead!

Record Turnout for Atlantic Region Holiday Event at Casino Nova Scotia

It was another record year for the Atlantic Region Holiday Reception that saw more than 170 members come together for industry networking and festive cheer on December 3 at Casino Nova Scotia in downtown Halifax.

The annual holiday event featured hors d’oeuvres, casino-style table games, and a silent auction with all proceeds going to regional food charity Feed Nova Scotia.

Atlantic Region Executive Committee Chair Nathan Salmon, Rexel Atlantic, opened the event by welcoming members and highlighting several of the region’s campaigns and events throughout the year. Of note, was the successful return of the region’s Curling Funspiel in February, new venues for both LobsterFest and the Atlantic Region Golf Tournament, and the launch of a new event: the Environment and Sustainability Panel, which was EFC’s first ESG-specific event nationally.

Nathan then took a moment to recognize Julie Mills, ABB, with a plaque to thank her as outgoing Chair of the Atlantic Region’s Women’s Network. Julie has served as Chair from 2021-2024, in that time supporting numerous WN initiatives and acting as an ambassador for women members across the region. We would like to thank Julie for her commitment and dedication to supporting and growing the network in Atlantic Canada. Bobbie Kester, ELP Marketing, will begin her term as Atlantic Region WN Chair in January 2025.

This year’s silent auction raised more than $2,800 for Feed Nova Scotia. This is part of a total give to the charity of more than $5,500 from this year’s event. Thank you to all members who supported this annual fundraiser! Your donations will go far to help families in need across the region.

We would like to wish all members a safe and happy holiday season and continued prosperity in 2025!

Exceptional generosity at the 2024 Montréal holidays reception

On December 5th, our members from the Quebec region gathered to celebrate the spirit of the holidays at our Montreal holiday reception! An evening full of laughter, conviviality and beautiful encounters

The evening began with a mixology activity organized by the young professionals network committee. Members were paired together to create a holiday cocktail and then take time to network with young industry professionals.

In addition, the women’s committee organized a collection of winter clothing for women and children at the reception. LAPLANTE and CIE had two $100 gift cards drawn from members who donated. We collected a lot of donations, the table was full. We even had to put some under the table!!! Thank you to all those who have donated, the women’s committee and the Montreal Women’s Centre thank you!

Congratulations to Yves Giard, Ouellet and Marcos Simard, Wesco winner of the Donation Harvest draw, generosity from LAPLANTE ET CIE.

We had a great festive atmosphere, an oyster station (sponsored by the RJP committee of Quebec), snacks distributed, a delicious dessert station and good company!

Thank you to all who participated and helped make this event unforgettable. Thank you to our two sponsors of the Québec Party receptions, LEVITON and HUBBELL.
