EFC Welcomes New Quebec YPN Chair
Please join us in welcoming Marcos Simard, Wesco, for his new position as the chair of the Quebec YPN committee and wish him success in his Chairmanship role from 2024 to 2026
Marcos Simard, Wesco Canada, has been appointed president of the RJP-Québec Committee for a two-year term.
Marcos is based in Montreal and is currently Sales Director for the EES division for Wesco, his 9th year with the company. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a graduate diploma in information technology management.He has several other training courses complementary to our industry such as his IES training in lighting and Lean Six Sigma training.
Marcos has participated in RJP events since 2016 and sits on several committees as administrator of the Canadian committee of the RJP, vice-president of RJP-Québec and now president for the next 2 years.
Marcos also participates in the growth of our industry in his community by being a director on the board of the Ensemble pour la Construction organization, promoting excellence in the construction industry and proudly representing the electrical and automation industry through other skills centers in the construction world.
Marcos has given himself the mandate to increase the reach of the RJP across the regions of Quebec as well as its representativeness. “A strong RJP representative of our industry and all of Quebec is essential to our renewal. The sustainability of the electrical industry in the context of labor shortages and generational transition depends on it.”
Congratulations to Marcos on his new role. The EFC is delighted with his involvement and leadership, and looks forward to seeing him assume his new role within the Quebec Committee of the RJP as president.

Amélie was able to innovate new events and ways to highlight the community of young professionals in the electrical industry during her 2-year mandate and it is certain that she will continue this involved work as a member of the Quebec YPN committee.
