Strong winds, below than normal temperatures, rain and sun, capped off Quebec Region’s 19th Annual EFC Golf Tournament

139 golfers braved the unpredictable weather at Tuesday’s Quebec Region Golf tournament but everyone finished with a smile. There were also 13 YPN members who participated in the golf lesson given by a pro at the golf club. For pictures of the day, click on the following link.

This year, we introduced the Mentor Cup challenge where two experienced EFC members (Carol McGlogan, EFC and Jacques Fiset, Westburne) played against two YPN members (Jonathan Perlis, Standard-Stanpro and Les Backman, Franklin Empire) to take the Mentor Cup. The challenge was won by the YPN team. We also invited three retired EFC mentor members to participate in the golf day as our marshals. A special thanks to Bob Shapiro of Franklin Empire, René Marineau of Canlyte and Rachelle Caron of Westburne for your participation.

In addition, the money raised at EFC events this year will go towards the EFC Scholarship Program for 2020, an “EFC Québec” scholarship awarded to students in the province of Québec. Thanks to all of you who participated at the golf tournament as well as at the various fundraising activities at the event.

Finally, during the reception, we were happy to announce Denis Dumouchel from Desdowd as the “Person of Year”. He has contributed greatly to the industry in the last 30+ years of his career. Congratulations to Denis on this great honour!

A great big thank you to all sponsors. Without you, this annual event would not be possible. We look forward to seeing you next year.
